enough already
The footage of the World Trade Centre collapsing is amazing. It's a powerful image, and I'd say it's about as shocking to watch today as it was a year ago "live on tv." Except it's being trotted out over and over in painful slow-motion every hour in news bulletins and "memorial" specials.
Memo to the media: stop showing it. Those images still evoke a powerful emotional response. Don't abuse that.

It's tough. I don't think I'll be watching much TV tomorrow. It's been hard to escape the images for the last few days here in the states.
Not to sound selfish, but so much for trying to celebrate my mother's birthday.

Yeah, my tv was firmly turned off all Wednesday. Well, we did pop it on in the evening, but it was tuned to channel 10 who were showing "Search for a Supermodel" that certainly contained no 9/11 footage.
Oh, good ol' channel 10.
