I have this rule about music. 99% of the time, if a song's lyrics include the name of the artist/band/record-company-puppet performing, it's gonna be crap. And so far it's held up well. Granted I've ruled out the majority of rap and hip hop, but to be fair, I can live with that. I'm not a huge fan of either, so in essence my 'crap' theory holds.
But there are exceptions. Right now it's Ms Dynamite's Dy-Na-Mi-Tee. That's the only track I've heard off the cd, but I kinda like it.
Then again, Amazon's product page says that people who bought her album, Lil Deeper, also bought Justin Timberlake, J-Lo and Eminem's new cds, so who knows...

What about Black-eyed Peas, do they get a look in? They do rock, in a funky, hip-hop kinda way, and they also say 'Black-eyed Peas, YO!' in their songs.
I draw the line at New Kids on the Block, however.

As for BAD mentions of the artists name, I almost smashed the TV last night after they played the ad for the new J-Lo album 27 times. Jenny On The Block! GAH! And to put your stupid fiancee in the film clip, that's just pathetic.

um, black eyed peas do rock. but yes, most artists cannot get away with mentioning themselves in their song lyrics.

I'm 11 years old and I strongly suggest you to instead of doing what you have above, yet it is really good, to put a bunch of names along the side of the screen like Destiny's Child, Black Eyed Peas, Brittany Spears, etc. And write about all of them because maybe some people want to see more than just black eyed peas... Anyways I also think if you want good progress from this site, than you should get some lyrics on here like www.azlyrics.com have. See ya!
