sounds different
Papa's got a brand new fm radio station! The depressing thing is hidden away on the about Nova page: "Nova 93.7 is the first new commercial FM radio station to launch in Perth for 22 years"
Damn, that was a long time coming.

First impressions, now that they've been on air for about 18 hours or so...
Not too bad. 2 ads in a row is a nice amount, it never really gets in the way. The music mix is pretty good, but the I could live without the r+b, which 92 and 96 already do plenty of.
Only big complaint is repetition, which isn't as bad as the others, but it's still annoying.

So that means that pmfm has been "all new" for at least the past 22 years?

That's so close to the truth it's not funny.
Incidentally, it's a pretty dodgy stat when you look at it — 94.5 has reinvented a few times in the past 10 years, going from AM to FM; and that's just the 'adult contemporary' end of the market.

i thought it was actually going to be playing "different tunes" rather than the most commercial crap. really dissapointing to say the least.

Yeah, they seem to be more on the commercial side of "alternative"
