brush with fame
The back of my head made something of a cameo in the Fresh liftout in yesterday's copy of The West.
It's not quite up to my previous media blitz when my primary school launched Constable Care — granted I was one face in several hundred, but still, you could actually tell it was me. You'll have to take my word that the blob in the back near the window is actually me.
Actually it's probably lucky I'm a blob in the distance.. I couldn't be bothered taming my bouff hairdo that morning, so I'm bordering on a white-man fro. Not a good look.

Thank you, thank you... I'll be autographing copies of the liftout if anyone's interested ;)
I should probably mention that the restaurant in question is Chutney Marys, opposite the Regal in Subi, and that the food was excellent.

Does any cafe survive in that location? Last time I ate there it was another one, the design very 'British occupation of India'.
Yet I ordered spring rolls. Interesting ...

Heh - very true actually. I think Chutney Mary's used to run from the shop next door (with a different name) and just moved next door.. and got away with minimal changes to the interior, just by adding a few big prints of Indian women with fruitbaskets. And stuff.
