tuesday stuff

Some random thoughts from today:

  • Saw uk comedian Eddie Izzard last night at the Perth Concert Hall (which looked disturbingly small for some reason). An amazing show, with a little less structure than his earlier tours, but then this is the start of the tour so I guess that'll come in time. Even so, his show one of the funniest things I've seen in a very long time. Go check it out if he's in your neck of the woods sometime soon.
  • It's been an interesting week at work. Some ups, some downs.
  • Made it out to Lesmurdie Falls on Saturday, where there was actually water flowing over the falls (what water shortage?). Many photos were taken, I'll upload them when I get a chance.
  • Sliced bread was 'invented' in 1928. Complete the phrase: "This sliced bread is the best thing since..."

It was also a bit of a pity that Eddie had to do his whole show holding a cordless mike. Which still worked well, but he does much better with both hands free for general mime purposes.

Agreed, some of his famous segues had the smoothness of the Blair administration trying to back pedal on Iraq for some reason.
