Returning to regular programming
Some minor hosting difficulties -- none of which should have happened, all of which happened last year too -- mean I'm probably going to switch hosts. Which is something I've done before and I'm really not looking forward to. I'm thinking Dreamhost. Any recommendations?

I dont use them anymore, but I can recommend Segpub.com.au - great service. A little pricey, but you get what you pay for in this case.
Or you could go with my little service ;p www.ausblog.net
Support is not 24/7 though.

I use InsiderHosting, and I love them. They're very reliable and very helpful if you have any problems. They also offer a variety of hosting packages -- I use the personal package, but I'm thinking of moving up to the business package.

I've heard p4host.com and mesopia.com are good. :)

Just looking at Ausblog, expensiveish and some very poor bandwidth limits. They also look like they're a reseller for http://httpme.com/ - cheap'n'nasty.
The rest of the recommendations look pretty darn good.

I've been with dreamhost since 1997 and never had any problems with them - great customer service, etc.
