The desk

I spent most of Sunday in Planet Studios in Subi with The Lullabies watching, listening and documenting the recording of their demo ep. I'm a sucker for sound gear -- the funky microphones, big speakers, amps, and of course the big mixing desk console. Which is why I spent most of the day scurrying around after the band and quietly gurgling behind the lens.

The mixing console

And since David was cropped out of the last band photo, here's a big glamour shot of the man in his element.

ok either you translate your malaysian or you stop using it :)

According to my trusty Kamus Indonesia -Inggris hebat is "Unusually intensive (excitement, attractiveness, intelligence, violence, etc)". So Mr B's either excited, attractive, intelligent or violent. Possibly all of the above.

Oh, well it was meant to be "cool". That was the closest thing my freind told me to use.
I can call you a Babi Gamuk which is fat pig 8) or would you prefer Kacak?

Posted by: Katie on March 18, 2004

Hebat will suffice, thankyou, i think i embody all of those traits to some extent

Posted by: David on March 18, 2004

oh, so your not kacak then lah?

Posted by: Katie on March 18, 2004

well that all depends on whether kacak is a good thing or a bad thing

Posted by: David on March 18, 2004

Well I guess it depends on what kind of person you are lah?

Ah, I remember calling people (aka my sister) a babi gamuk. Good times.

That,or I would go for the simplicity of "goblok".
