On the new iPods

I've been living with my iPod for a while now, and it's seriously cool to have all my music with me most everywhere I go. And shuffle and smart playlists do indeed rock.
Apple announced new iPods this week -- weirdly enough knocking the model line-up from a three-hit 15, 20 and 40 GB range down to just 20 and 40GB models. The ClickWheel's great, but the way the pricing's worked out is kinda weird.
They've rejigged the model line-up, but also upped the entry-level price by about $50 here in Australia. What's worse is when you compare what you got with a 3rd gen iPod on Monday, versus what you get from Tuesday with a new 4th gen iPod...

Sure you get a ClickWheel and (hypothetically) 4 hours more battery life, but I'd argue my old 20gig iPod was a better deal than the new range.
Funky infographic from Mot, I just made it all pretty and Apple-like.
