We have the answers

Did I mention the crazy-busyness at work? I'm sure I did. It continues.

But hey, it's a long weekend (courtesy of the Queen's birthday, which I'm sure bears no resemblance to the birthday of any recent monarchs) so I've been out and about.

I was walking along by the river in the South Perth yesterday afternoon enjoying the warm spring sun when I saw two guys in shirts and ties walking towards me on the path, looking suspiciously like Mormons. As soon as the thought crossed my mind they detoured off the path and made a bee-line for me, a few metres off the path.

Me 0, Universe 1.

It's like Mormons have actually realised everyone pretends not to be home when they knock at the door, so now they're catching people when they're out walking and defenseless.

View from South PerthSo this is how I ended up having a short (but still too long) conversation with two Mormons from California on a Saturday afternoon in South Perth. They tried but got nowhere. Technically they came out worse off -- I did manage to get them a couple of hundred metres further back the way they came by walking (fast) in the opposite direction as they talked to me.

Mormon1: Hi, how are you today? Me: Good thanks. You?
M1: Good. How are you?
Me: (pause) Uh, pretty good.
Morman2: There's a dead bird.

Now I'm not sure how these guys normally share the good word of Mormonhood, but I'm thinking it doesn't normally involve opening lines about dead birds. I was waiting to see how they'd segue that into something religious but they didn't (if they had, I might've paid attention).

The one on the right spoke with a bit of a drawl and really slowly. It was like talking to someone auditioning for the Hugo Weaving's role in the Matrix, except that this version of the Matrix was set in some Southern American town.

"You have questions. We have the answers," he slowly says, "to all your questions."

So I'm throwing it out to you guys. What questions do you have that need answering my overly zealous Mormon friends in South Perth?
