Unfinished Business

This is an old photo from a trip to Perth Zoo years ago. I discovered it going through one of my old sites and thought it deserved another airing. Anyway, onto the unfinished business.

Last year I'd planned on buying a cd every fortnight, working from A to Z over the course of the year.

For most part, I managed it. I'm still missing albums by bands/artists with names beginning with Q (I'd intended to get a Queen CD but could never choose), Y and Z (had been contemplating Zero7).

Any suggestions?

The only Q i can think of is Queens of The Stone Age, any album is probably worth a listen.

For Y i guess you've got You Am I. If you don't already have Hi Fi Way then your record collection ain't complete. Also consider the Yeah Yeah Yeah's album or Youth Group's latest one.

The two Zero 7 albums are nice and chilled out. Also consider the Zutons album 'Who Killed The Zutons'.

Q=Queens of the Stone Age or perhaps some Queen Latifa (sp?). Y=Everyones favourite obscure Swiss popsters Yello.
Z=How about some Frank Zappa?

For Q, Quannum might have made an album, I'm not sure. Had a good single called "I Changed My Mind"

Y. Yo La Tengo

Z. Zen Paradox, The Zincs, ZZ Top!

Oooh. Quannum. I remember them! Liked that single, will have to check around for an album -- thanks Mik! And I'll also admit that Hi Fi Way was on the short-list, I just completely forgot about it until you mentioned it Dan...

Why not go classical with Yo Yo Ma? Im sure he is a respectable "Y" artist to add to your collection...

I pick some of the above and:

Queen: Last Night At The Opera or a Best Of

Yello: Ohhh Yeaaah

Yaz and the Plastic Population
