Australia Day

Australia Day always means lounging around in the sun (and/or shade) with good friends, barbecues, drinks and usually fireworks by the river somewhere.

This year we added getting a choc-top from a Mr Whippy ice-cream van on the walk home, since there's no better time to fully regress to childhood than after ooh-ing and ahh-ing at fireworks.

I took photos of most of the above (except the fireworks), but instead here's a picture of a chair.

Evidence

Here's some proof (albeit slightly out of focus) that I didn't take that last photo:

  • On the moon;
  • In the middle of the ocean; or
  • In a prison yard (unless it's a very dry, badly fenced one).

Fenced

A fence. Somewhere coastal.

Actually, it's a picture of a fence and some clouds. It could be anywhere.

Any suggestions of somewhere I'd be unlikely to be taking a photo of a fence and slightly-cloudy sky?

Rain on the windscreen

Sitting in the car at work tonight, watching the rain on the windscreen and listening to Josh Pyke.

Summer's here

I take it back. Now it's definitely Summer... Here come the stiflingly hot days and uncomfortably warm nights.

The other reason I know it's Summer?

Ross and Terri are back on TripleJ for a two-week Summer stint. Matt and I aren't involved this year (I'm already pining for the daily stupidity that was NannaWatch) but on the upside the ABC have actually made them a site this time around and are podcasting the whole two weeks' worth of shows (and an archive of last year's).

Makes Jack a dull boy

Guess when my holiday finished? Yep, right about when I stopped posting.
