Closing Time
Looking across the vast turbine hall of the Tate Modern into the bookshop as the galleries empty out at the end of the day.
I've been making a list of design books to buy one day, when I have a nice coffee table or home office to house them all.

All right, then. I'll bite. What's on the list of books?

Well then, since you asked...
- A-Z of Type Designers (seen in Guggenheim Bilbao)
- Dictionary of Graphic Design and Designers (also in the Guggenheim)
- Inspired
- Stealing the Scream (seen in Books etc, Wimbledon)
- Grand Designs Handbook
- Penguin by Design
- Design Management (Design Museum Shop, London)
- 100 Habits of Successful Graphic Designers (also Design Museum)
- How To Be a Graphic Designer Without Losing Your Soul (also Design Museum)
- 1000 Covers, from Rolling Stone (seen in HMV Oxford Street)
- Readymade (also Design Museum)
- The Art of Looking Sideways (also Design Museum - who'd have thought it would be such a good source?)
- Humble Masterpieces: 100 Everyday Marvels of Design (in a discount bookstore on Regent Street)
Actually looking at the list again it's less coffee table and more home office.
