Stairs
Stairs leading down into the assembly chamber of London City Hall.
They lead down in a vaguely spiral movement from the top floors down to the main assembly hall, past floors of glass-walled offices where all the real governing happens. Much like the brilliant Reichstag, it's a very literal interpretation of transparency in government.
